Human Pain There's pain in me, there it belongs. Separates me from the mulling throngs. If ever I pain did not feel, would doubt if ever I were real. The pain it shows humanity, it shows that others can hurt me. I know that I could hurt others, but then feel their pain - my sisters, brothers. I cannot lie; that brings pain too. I never will fight, no matter who. Through my actions I hope they see, and then others could act more like me. An example I am rarely, and considered nice too often barely. I'm human too, I'm often wrong; in hurting others, to heal takes long. Know what you do, rarely forgot; Forgiveness is hard and often not. With each action wondering be; would i want others to act like me? (c)1998 by Robert H. Harrison
