Hurting People


So many hurting poeople 
on this great lonely sphere.
People once so hopeful -
now it is hope they fear.

How can they hurt each other,
when they themselves know pain?
They know what they are doing,
no ignorance they feign.

As long as there are humans
there always will be hurt.
They each want special treatment,
yet treat others as dirt.

They must learn to love another, 
before another's love they earn.
In this way before receiving,
it is giving they must learn.
