Streetlights A single lonely streetlight casts light on all who pass. In silence void of laughter, a melancholy mass. They walk by without pausing and never their eyes touch. Each cut off from all others and missing them so much. Creating their own prison building upon their walls, but inside their defenses walk listlessly the halls. The world is full of streetlights and strangers gliding past. Each wants to break the silence, but knows that it will last. (c)2001 by Robert H. Harrison
