Self Examination


struggling to define your existence
you sit and stare
considering all that is you
not able to separate experiences from self
you strive to discern the line

searching for the fabled fulfillment
the meaning
that for which you have hungered all your life
not knowing what to do once found
but ever seeking

wishing there was someone
to help you
to seek together what you need
to be happy
and find it in each other

examining yourself
on the basis of others
you will never measure up
each in a class alone
unique, separate, imperfect
