Parents Why did God make parents? Revenge His likely reason Giving us discomfort No matter what the season Logic has no meaning in their universes Their constant 'correction' keeps us mumbling curses Bane of our existence Purpose to annoy us If we do not rally They will soon destroy us I pray for a smackdown Justice now is lacking God will answer someday With his fist attacking First to knock into them the common sense now missing Then to push them downwards and to my feet be kissing Then I think for spite He should take away their car their house and their savings let them question who they are Giving it all to me To make them understand living life with nothing is not quite so grand As a final insult they must ask permission to use my new belongings learning true submission I'll make their curfew 3pm and take away their freedom then hinder all their hobbies They should know I don't need 'em Last I'll scare away their friends For I alone can judge them And when I see someone I like Only towards them I'll nudge them (c)2002 by Robert H.
