In Fields of Night I lie in wait in fields of night as lights above play on my sight it whispers low the rustling grass the silence thick as time does pass no change seems near eternity hangs in the air timeless and free i think of her beyond my reach and to the moon give my beseech no promise comes nor did i hope my problems cheap beneath its scope still i wait on no urge to stir beckons to me i think of her gaze locked above i trace the skies seeing the moon tears in my eyes i ponder if she shares the view who she is with and what they do my concern yet though far apart i wish i could control my heart (c) 2002 Robert H.
