Distraction Thoughts wandering oft, upon features fair; to bright shining eyes, and long flowing hair. Nothing holds my gaze, though long may I stare; her face in my mind, I see nothing else there. My fancy takes flight, and I hear her voice; beautiful and clear - I smile at the noise. In daydreams she speaks, all I wish she would say; bringing warmth and joy, to me as I lay. Hard truth will soon come, invading my soul; for all of my hope, I will not be whole. But I dream awhile - delaying despair, until the time when, I no longer care. (c) 2002 Robert H. Harrison
