Faded from Existence…


Once upon a lifetime - 
not very long ago,
there existed a boy,
who was fated to fade.

Nothing remarkable, 
was there about this boy;
everyone that knew him,
always lost interest.

No one remembered him -
thus erased from their minds,
faded from existence -
from this reality.

He yet walked among them,
unseen and forgotten;
no one paid attention,
to his dying presence.

All averted their eyes -
too much trouble to look!
With so little to see,
he remained unheeded…

He wondered what was wrong
with him, that all ignored;
but sure the fault was his,
resolved to act alone.

So sadly he bid all -
farewell, goodbye, goodnight…
and still they walked on by,
not hearing even this!

He would not trouble them,
though still he could pursue;
he sighed… and walked away.
Faded from existence.
