Remember me Smiling My thoughts wander often, to the stony pathways; together we walked them, in silence so deep. A castle our own - the ruins eternal; alight in the evenings, with moonlight so pure. Nights there were countless - your hand fit mine; exploring the heavens, with long, solemn gaze. At last we did leave them, when fate bid us welcome, and went our own ways - promising yet to meet. I waited so long, for you to come after… but never a thought, did you give for me. So… I wandered on, and left no word waiting; now your turn to wonder, and hold hope in vain. If ever you see me, in firelight, or shadow, remember me smiling - as I was before. For often I sorrow, and wish you not see me; in the darkness crying, as befits my nature. (c) 2002 Robert H.
